Sacred Chalices & Ciboria — Handcrafted in Europe

Rooted in centuries of European sacred artistry, our chalices and ciboria are crafted by skilled artisans who carry forward a tradition of reverence, precision, and devotion. Each vessel is made by hand in Europe, honoring the gravity of its liturgical purpose from the very first stroke of the craftsman's tool.

Made for the Altar. Made to Last.

Every chalice and ciborium in our collection is shaped with painstaking care — hand-finished surfaces, carefully proportioned forms, and refined details that reflect the solemnity of the Eucharist. These are not mass-produced pieces. They are works of sacred craft, worthy of the consecrated gifts they hold.

🔹 Liturgical Use

The chalice is the sacred cup used at Mass to hold the wine that becomes the Precious Blood of Christ during the Consecration. It is one of the most essential vessels of the Eucharistic liturgy.

  • Used by the priest (and deacon) at the altar during the celebration of the Mass
  • Must have a gilded interior cup (the bowl) per Canon Law, as it directly contacts the Precious Blood
  • Historically made of precious metals (gold, silver, or silver-gilt) to honor the gravity of its purpose
  • After Mass, it is purified (cleansed) by the priest or instituted acolyte before being stored

The ciborium is a covered, cup-shaped vessel used to hold the consecrated Hosts (the Body of Christ) — both during Mass and for reservation in the Tabernacle.

  • Used to distribute Holy Communion to the faithful during Mass
  • Kept in the Tabernacle between Masses to store the reserved Blessed Sacrament for the sick, dying (Viaticum), and adoration
  • Must also have a gilded interior where the hosts rest
  • The lid is essential — distinguishing it from a chalice — as it protects the reserved Sacrament
