The corporal is spread on the altar beneath the chalice and host during Mass, traditionally catching any fragments of the consecrated host and marking the sacred space where the Eucharist is celebrated. This corporal is woven from pure Italian linen, finished with a fine hemstitched border, and marked with a small embroidered cross at the point where it is traditionally folded.

Made to standard square dimensions, the linen folds cleanly into the customary nine-panel fold for storage in the burse, and holds its shape well after laundering. It is offered both within the complete altar linen set and as a standalone replacement piece for sacristies refreshing individual linens.

The corporal is spread on the altar to hold the chalice and host, traditionally catching any fragments of the consecrated host. The chalice pall covers the chalice to protect its contents during the liturgy. The purificator is used to wipe the chalice and the priest's fingers during purification, and the manuterge dries his hands during the lavabo, the ritual hand-washing before the Eucharistic Prayer.
